The second annual Iron Brew Challenge paired Colorado State University Fermentation Science and Technology students with alumni brewers from SweetWater Brewing, Odell Brewing, and New Belgium Brewing to develop beers using this year’s secret ingredient: flowers. Each brew team also worked with CSU’s Department of Art and Art History students to develop artwork, graphics and more for their beers. The competition is an interdisciplinary effort that provides students with real-world experience developing, brewing and marketing their own beer.
